Waste 11 minutes of your life here

26 May, 2008

If you ever played Super Mario World on the SNES or a Mario fan in general, you may want to look at this cool, weird, disturbing and amazing video. If you are not a fan, do not hit play. If you do watch the whole thing, please comment because I'm speechless.

Human LCD Screens

03 October, 2007

So, south Koreans wanted to cheer for their soccer teams. What do they do? transform them selves into LARGE STADIUM LCDS!

Just so you know, these are live humans in an unbelievable level of synchronization. They are not using coloured cards, but their own clothes non the less. They have a jacket with one colour in the front, another in the back, and they can open it up to reveal a third colour in their t-shirts. One school even figured out how to use pants as shading.
This is a human feat. Our legendary electronic National stadium score board is no match to their 100% manual efforts.
To read more into this: this just shows the level of creativity and efficiency that a culture reached. I remember when I was young, Japanese cars were put down as being "only Japanese", hinting towards inferior quality. Who can say that anything Japanese is inferior to anything now?
Same thing happened with the Koreans, but just look how we are fighting over their latest goods. It is now being said about China, but just you wait and see.
So in my own life time, I saw culture morph into a much more developed version of the original.
I wonder, what do you think happened to Bahrain in the mean time? Did we progress? Or had we indeed, regressed?

New 7 World Wonders Named!

08 July, 2007

Yesterday, in Lisbon, 07/07/07, the new 7 wonders of the world were named. I've been waiting to know the results impatiently! People from around the world voted online, through phone and via SMS. The Giza Pyramids gets a by and is still considered a wonder due to the fact that it's the only remaining wonder from the first lot. Well, here they are in random order:

Chichén Itzá, Mexico

Christ Redeemer, Brazil

The Great Wall, China

Machu Picchu, Peru

Petra, Jordan

The Roman Colloseum, Italy

And Finally

The Taj Mahal, India

Well how about that? That is a rather fine list isn't it? I might have chosen the Kremlin instead of the Redeemer myself, but still, It does deserve to be there. I know very little of the Machu Picchu and I'll definatly read more about it. Congratulations are in order to my Jordanian brothers, Alpetra is amazing and is well deserving of its place.

Runners up included the Acropolis, Statues of Easter Island, the Statue of Liberty and Sydney's Opera House.

Gentelmen: Unzip your flys,AGAIN!

17 March, 2007

You all saw my post about the massive Sharp 108 inch LCD TV.
Well forget it.

I present to you, the Technovision 205 inch TV!
that is TWO HUNDRED AND FIVE inches large.
That screen is 15 feet by 8 feet. Enough room to PARK TWO MINI COOPERS ON IT.
The company is an Italian one specializing in outdoor displays, it just that... they built an indoor one this time.
Have a good look. You will never be rich enough to buy it or see it in real life.
I'll go weep in the corner as usual, thank you.

Gentelmen: Unzip your flys!

This is the biggest wet dream for all double X chromosome humans.

This is the Sharp 108-inch LCD TV.

Did you read that? No, your eyes are fine. Its 108 inches big!

It's 93.9 inches high, 52.9 inches wide and 107.8 inches on the diagonal, and is 2.07 million pixels (1,920 x 1,080) bright. needless to say its Hi-Def ready.

This thing is 7.8 feet high (meaning it is definitely taller than YOU, whoever you are).

I am this close to crying! It's not fair!

Forget Ferraris, this is the reason to become rich!

Just imagine full HD power of Xbox or PS3, not to mention HD DVD & Bluray movies!

Excuse me while I go sit in a corner and weep.
