Some of you may remember that Tim Allen (of Home Improvement) is starring in a martial arts movie that has the same name as my nick name.
Before I start throwing all kinds of name infringement law suits on their asses, I -out of the kindness of my soul- decided to give them a chance to make a decent movie worthy of carrying the same name as my marvelous internet alter ego...
...
ah, well...
Here is the trailer, make up your own mind.

Speed Racer movie trailer released
13 March, 2008
The Wachowski brothers are the ones behined the iconic "The Matrix". It seems they love Anime. The Matrix borrowed heavily from Masamune Shirow's "Ghost in the Shell", they even released an anime Matrix DVD later: "The Animatrix".
They are now addressing this iconic old anime series. I have my reservations about this, but..
I'll just wait and see.

Tim Allen Stars in my movie!
12 June, 2007

Well, It's not really "MY" movie, but, Allen will star in David Mamet's "Redbelt". This film is supposedly a "martial arts drama". Now Tim is a comedy guy basically (you all know him from "Home Improvement") and I have no idea how him being in a "Martial arts Drama" would be. The plot isn't very clever I'm afraid.
Redbelt is "the story of Mike Terry (Ejiofor), a Jiu-jitsu master who has avoided the prize fighting circuit, choosing to instead pursue a life of honor and education by operating a self-defense studio in Los Angeles. Terry's life is dramatically changed, however, when he is conned by a cabal of movie stars and promoters. In order to pay off his debts and regain his honor Terry must step into the ring for the first time in his life." Allen will play "a troubled action star with marital problems who meets the master when he is getting pummeled in a street fight."
See, that does seem like countless martial arts action flicks. But Ah! This isn't Action! Its DRAMA! Say it with me, Dra-ma.
Well, I like Tim, and Mamet made decent films in the past. They better do my nick name good! I have to wait until 2008 to know.

RAMBO is Back!
21 May, 2007
I don't usually post movie news, but I know this will make allot of my friends giggle like little girls.
The one man army concept was huge when I was a kid, and RAMBO was all over the place. Lets see if this concept still works in the 21st century. Post your comments on the trailer here.

Spiderman 3: How to mutate a Spider into a cash cow
04 May, 2007

The Spiderman 3 movie opened in Bahrain on the 2nd of May. Two days before America's release date. So I went yesterday with my wife to see it.
It appears that the movie font is incompatible with the number three. The Playstation 3 uses the same font and had a lack luster release, similarly, the latest Spidy movie was below my expectations.
I thought I was in for a good Superhero action movie, and at times it was an action movie. It also was a love triangle chick flick and a musical!
The movie shifted from Action to Romance to Drama to Musical so much that it didn't give a sense of what it was in the end. I got in at 1:15 AM and left at 3:30 AM with no intermission. A long movie where my wife had a nap in near the middle. I'm sure it will make hardcore fans revolt over some details as usual and on the confusing style of the movie.
Shame that. I don't want to list any spoilers so you'll not get alot of details from me. Guess that's what happen when a great license is used first and foremost as a cash cow.
The Spiderman 3 game is also being released on the 4th of May. It's being released on Wii, PS3, PS2, XB360, PC, Game boy Advance AND NDS, which further solidifies what I mean by turning this into a cash cow (I am one that is against multiple platfom game releases because the target is maximizing sales rather than making a tailored to fit good game).
If your a Spidy fan you must go nevertheless. If not, pick something else. If you do see it, please tell me what you thought of it. I'd love to know your opinions.
